Flood Traps Church Camp, Shooting and a Fire in TX

Updated: Aug 8

VIDEO: Flood at Christian Camp - The Texas Tragedy

Yes, this is an actual photo of the rain that fell in Texas from July 2-5, 2025 produced by a news station. Tragedy struck when children and leaders at a Christian Camp died. Will the Body of Christ finally listen to what God is saying? Here are the main items that all happened on the same day:

  1. A storm hit Texas, and a Girls' Christian Summer Camp was flooded: 90 people died, and many are still missing.

  2. A woman was shot in the chest at beach marker 99, and fire broke out on the dunes at beach marker 90 in Port Aransas.

  3. A Swimmer died at Mustang Beach

On July 4th, America celebrates its independence from England. Disaster struck the state of Texas in 2025, just as America was celebrating its freedom and the establishment of the land of milk and honey.

When God brought His people to Israel, He called it “the land of milk and honey.” America was established so that Christians could worship God without persecution. It is also known as the land of “milk and honey.” God is speaking to the entire Body of Christ. To all Christians!

Why did God allow Texas to be struck by this calamity? We have established that America is, in God’s eyes, the land established for the Body of Christ. America is frequently represented in dreams metaphorically as Heaven since it is known as the land of peace and prosperity. Texas is known as “cowboy country.” Their highway slogan is “Littering is Unlawful, Don’t Mess with Texas.” They are known for their strength and independence.

A. This is about Christians who feel strong and a bit independent in their faith.

A portion of Texans have touted that, based on its formation, Texas has the right to secede from the United States. However, the Supreme Court case Texas v. White (1869) ruled that states cannot unilaterally secede, stating that the Union is “an indestructible and permanent union of indestructible and permanent states.”

B. This also relates to the body of Christ, who feel they can “do it on their own.”

God is trying to get the attention of His children. A storm is on the horizon. Will you take time to listen? Let’s look at these major items involved in this tragedy, and then we’ll look at some items surrounding them that will provide more clarity!

  1. The Storm

News Channel 3 in Corpus Christi, Texas, published the rainfall totals from the storm on July 5th. Do you see the demonic face in the rainfall totals photo? It resembles a dog, which metaphorically symbolizes an unclean spirit. How could a loving God allow the enemy to attack a children’s camp? Have you not read the Old Testament? What happened when God’s people continued to rebel against His ways? The entire nation was handed over to their enemies! This is God allowing the enemy to attack so that His children will WAKE UP!

  • Corpus: Body

  • Christi: Christ

  • 3: God’s perfection and completion in the spirit.

  • 5: God’s grace

This is God’s message for the Body of Christ to bring spiritual perfection and completion. This is God’s grace for His Children. When did this storm begin?

The Time

According to the Texas Tribune, “At 1:14 a.m. Friday, the NWS issued the first flash flood warning. The NWS issued a flash flood emergency at 4:03 a.m., warning of an ‘extremely dangerous and life-threatening situation.’ Local and state officials have since stated that the NWS forecasts did not accurately predict the intensity of the rain.”

Many Christians know that there is a move in the spirit: many feel the time of the return of the Lord is close at hand. However, churches are not warning people of the dangers that are on the horizon, nor of the need to prepare! What does the time mean?

1:14

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon to Christ are fourteen generations. (Matthew 1:17 AKJV)

The number 14 is seven times two. Seven is completion and is the physical, while two is multiplication. So 14 is multiplied or generational perfection and completion. With this scripture, we can see that Jesus was the physical manifestation of completion and perfection for generations. One is God: God is bringing physical perfection and completion for the last generation to the Body of Christ.

4:03

“And you, O son of man, thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel: an end. The end has come upon the four corners of the land. (Ezekiel 7:2 AMPC)

On the fourth day, God created the four seasons upon the Earth, which was the beginning of days in correlation to the four seasons. For this reason, most often, four represents creativity. However, God refers to the world as having four corners. This concerns the whole world.

The number three represents perfection and completion in the spirit. God is urging the entire world to come into a right relationship in the spirit with Him!

Tragedy has struck the entire state of Texas as 90 people have lost their lives as of July 7th, only 27 from Camp Mystic, and 11 are still missing.

90

You carry away [these disobedient people doomed to die within 40 years] as with a flood; they are as a sleep [vague and forgotten as soon as they are gone]. In the morning they are like grass which grows up— In the morning it flourishes and springs up; in the evening it is mown down and withers. For we are consumed by Your anger, and by Your wrath are we troubled, overwhelmed, and frightened away. Our iniquities, our secret heart and its sins [which we would so like to conceal even from ourselves], You have set in the [revealing] light of Your countenance. (Psalms 90:5 & 7-8 AMPC)

Psalms 90 speaks of God’s anger like a flood and God’s wrath coming upon those who are continually disobedient to God’s ways! It also speaks about the length of our days and devoting time to seeking God’s wisdom. There are many sins which the world has embraced, but God is pointing to one in particular.

The right eye of the storm hovered over the city of Austin. Right is something in the natural world. Austin is the capital of Texas and is known as a focal point for LGBTQ+ advocacy and activism in Texas.

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them. (Leviticus 20:13 ESV)
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-10 ESV)

Same sex relationships are a sin, just as any type of adultery is a sin. However, many churches are performing same sex marriages. This is not acceptable in God’s eyes.

The left is connected to something in the spirit. The left eye was over the Tenmile Crossing. Ten is ordination to God or Satan: man’s responsibility to follow God’s Commandments.

How many Christians know the Ten Commandments? How many people strive to follow them? Are the majority of Christians aware that they have an obligation to God?

Twenty-seven people have died in a single location, with 11 still missing. What can we learn from this?

Camp Mystic

For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. (Matthew 24:37 ESV)

Camp Mystic was flooded. When the world rebelled against God and sin reigned in the land, Noah was the only righteous person. Only the righteous were saved when God flooded the world. This is about Christians not walking in God’s righteousness and the correction that is coming! Every aspect of this disaster will explain why this correction is coming.

What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish. (Matthew 18:12-14 ESV)

The camp was founded in 1926 and has operated for 99 years. God had 100 sheep, and 99 were faithful. What happened at this camp concerns God’s faithful sheep, not those outside the church. Many Christians call people who hear from the Holy Spirit “mystics.” This is concerning ALL Christians, even those who are hearing from the Holy Spirit.

The camp declares to be non-denominational, but it operates exactly opposite of this definition. A non-denominational church has no allegiance to any denomination’s doctrinal beliefs. They are not Baptists, Pentecostals, or Catholics. They have no denominational ties. This camp embraces ALL denominations, and they even hold Catholic mass on the weekends. That means it applies to ALL denominations.

Camp Mystic divides the campers into two groups, which they call “tribes:” the Kiowas and the Tonkawas. These are the actual names of two Indian tribes. In dreams and visions, Native Americans are often portrayed as the Church because the first people of this nation were separated from society and placed on reservations, just as Christians are reserved for God and Holy or separate unto Him. What can we learn from these two tribes?

  • Kiowas: They had an effective and well-organized military design and were thought to be one of the most warlike tribes.

    • Those in the body of Christ engaged in wrong spiritual warfare.

    • Churches that fight with other denominations.

  • Tonkawas: The Peyote religion was an important part of Tonkawa life, which involved consuming the mescal bean for spiritual purposes. Peyote is a cactus whose fruit induces visions. The Peyote religion incorporates many items from Christianity and other religions into itself.

    • Churches that have polluted Christianity by bringing other things into it.

    • Churches led by Darnels or Tares: beans are darnel seeds from a wrong spirit. When fully grown, the fruit has thorns and visions that are not God.

All churches have one of these doors open to the enemy. The first church I pastored did, and we had to shut those doors. Has your church overcome either of these? If not, perhaps look at some biblical teaching about spiritual warfare and polluting the church with things of the world. (Links in the description)

Twenty-seven died, including the camp director, Richard Eastland. What does this mean?

  • Richard: Powerful ruler, brave and strong.

  • East: God’s mercy, which is new each morning. The sun rises in the east.

  • Land: Where you are located

God’s grace was displayed through Jesus: we get to go to Heaven because of His sacrifice. However, once we are God’s children, we need to learn His ways and do them! Leaders who have been focused on God’s grace, camping out there instead of knowing we must learn His ways and turn from sin, will be removed. How about the 27 who have died?

In the twenty-seventh year, in the first month, on the first day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me… Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will give the land of Egypt to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall carry off its wealth and despoil it and plunder it; and it shall be the wages for his army. (Ezekiel 29:1 & 19 ESV Strong’s)

Nebuchadnezzar was not a good person, but God used this evil king to punish Israel for betraying His ways. God is handing over Christians who are not walking in His ways to the enemy.

Eleven campers are still missing. Eleven is a transition.

Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. (Revelation 19:8 ESV)

It is time to transition into our rightful place. The bride needs to get the white, fine, bright, and pure wedding gown through our good deeds!

A leader of a small Christian church in Port Aransas, a suburb of Corpus Christi, Texas, had two events occur within a mile of her house on the same day as the flood. They confirm what God is saying.

  1. Woman Shot and a Fire

Port Aransas is a small beach suburb of Corpus Christi, Texas. The word Aransas has no known meaning, but Corpus is Latin for body, and Christi is Latin for Christ. This is about the body of Christ!

There was a fire in the dunes at beach marker 90, in one direction down the beach from her. Fire is correction from God. 90 is a sweeping change because of God’s anger at sin. This minister is quick to run to God when the enemy attacks her. She is willing to receive correction and change her ways. The fire was under control before it reached her neighborhood. She was unharmed.

At the same beach, according to News3, Marissa Rodriguez, “July 4, 2025, at 8:28 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 7000 block of Gulf Beach Road to respond to a shooting (Beach Marker 99)... They found a woman in her 30s with a gunshot wound… She was taken to the hospital and is stable.”

Ninety-nine can mean God’s faithful sheep, and it can also mean the faithfulness of God and man through a covenant. When Abraham is 99 years old, God promises to multiply his descendants through Sarah, as the sand of the sea. God also requires Abraham to be circumcised, he and his household, to dedicate themselves to God. (Genesis 17) Here is a woman on the sands of the sea who has survived a gunshot to the chest.

1000 is linked to the rule of Jesus, Who will return to rule and reign for 1000 years. Seven is perfection and completion in the physical. 7000 is those who will be ready on this earth for the coming rule of Jesus.

  • Woman: individuals in the bride of Christ

  • Beach: God’s good thoughts toward us

  • 30: the age when ministry begins.

  • Gunshot: represents words used against us.

  • Chest: our heart

  • Hospital: Going to a place where Jesus is to receive healing and restoration.

Satan is the accuser of the brethren. In Job, we see that he has to get permission from God to attack us. Full-grown, mature Christians will have words spoken against them, allowing an attack to come that may impact their heart, their relationship with God, because they have not been faithful in their covenant with them. The word Testament means covenant. When we take Jesus as Lord, we have a covenant, an agreement with Him. Do you know what He expects of you for your part of that agreement?

To overcome these attacks, you will need to run to Jesus, who is the Healer, to stabilize your relationship with Him (hospital). The time adds further details to this event:

  • 8: Revelation of Jesus and dedication to righteousness

    • Jesus, after his resurrection, revealed himself alive 8 times just before his ascension into heaven.

    • Circumcision occurs on the 8th day, dedicating all males to the Lord.

  • 28: Zealous for God and His power, but tolerating wrong worship

    • King Jehu ruled for 28 years, and he was zealous for God. To become king, he killed Ahab and Jezebel, rooting out all the false prophets of Baal. (2 Kings 10:36).

    • He also tolerated the worship of the golden calves at Bethel. For this, God’s displeasure rested upon him, and his kingdom suffered disaster in war with the Syrians (2 Kings 10:29-33).

A Christian is someone who is dedicated to God through Jesus. We should be circumcised or Holy unto God. We are supposed to be zealous for God and His righteousness, which means His way of doing things. Instead, many people are zealous for the power of God, and they are tolerating wrong worship!

At Bethel, they had a golden calf to worship because their leaders didn’t want them traveling to Jerusalem to worship at the temple. Bethel… where have I heard that name… connected to worship… Well, Worship in the Christian Church is under copyright. Your church has to pay someone to use their songs. They are also supposed to display the copyright number and credit the artist. Churches are tolerating this because it is “just that way it is,” “everyone does it” and the “artist deserves to be paid.”

These are worldly attitudes and are not God’s ways! Songs are anointed because they come from God, and Jesus told us in Matthew 10:8, “Freely you have received, freely give.” For more information about this, with support scriptures, see the link in the comments. Needless to say that we should not be charging for anything that comes from God or that we expect Him to use!

  1. Drowned Man

News3, Bill Evans reported: “CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi Police Department officials confirmed that a man in his 50s died today following an apparent drowning incident on Mustang Island. Officers were dispatched to the 11000 block of Gulf Beach at approximately 3:07 p.m.”

  • Swimming: Moving in the Spirit.

  • 11: Transition

  • 1000: Rule and reign with Jesus

  • 50: The Holy Spirit and Power from God.

    • Pentecost is the day when the Holy Spirit first came with power upon God.

    • Pente means 50: it occurs 50 days after passover.

  • Mustang: wrongly using authority.

    • Mustangs are wild horses. Horses are an authority.

There is a segment of the Body of Christ who is trying to rule and reign with Jesus right now. They believe they are using the power of the Holy Spirit, but they are not submitting to Jesus and putting Him in control. They use His name for what THEY think is right with no repentance from sin. They teach others to declare in Jesus’ name for what THEY want to happen.

Jesus is our Lord: our Owner, our Master. We need to learn His ways and learn to hear from Him about what to do and when to do it. If we try to wield the power of the Kingdom of God without hearing from God, then we may be leading a rebellion against God’s will. What these well-meaning individuals are doing will kill them, physically or spiritually.

What is God saying?

If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. (John 15:10 ESV)
Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. (John 14:23-24 ESV)

We are expected to love God; that is the first commandment. Loving God means obeying Him. The Lord is bringing correction to His bride, who is not obeying Him. This applies to all those who call themselves Christians.

As it was in the days of Noah, so it is now. Are there any righteous? Are there any turning from sin, attempting to be holy unto God as He is Holy?

Just as the flood swept away leaders and children, so too will this correction come upon the young and old, new Christians and leaders. It is time to learn God’s way and apply them! Are you willing to receive correction now, or will you wait until the flood waters rise and hope you can escape?

Real Life Example

When these events happened, the Lord brought several signs into my life to show what will happen with the Body of Christ. These signs started two days before the flood and continued two days after. A mudslide blocked the way home on the same day as the flood in Texas. This links these events together.

Here are the signs that happened during this five day period.

  • Day 1: My husband's email account was hacked. It took eight hours to fight off the hackers trying to steal money from our accounts.

    • My husband: the Lord, my heavenly husband.

    • Old email account: old ways of interactions with the world that make us vulnerable to attacks from the enemy.

    • Eight: dedication to the Lord

      • There were old ways concerning how I was interacting with the world that were hindering my dedication to the Lord.

  • Day 2: My husband “misplaced” the $2500 cash for payment for selling a red pickup, and the key to our red ATV vehicle, as we traveled north for the holiday. I misplaced one of two glass water bottles for the fridge I use daily.

    • 2500: God’s grace for new leaders of His church.

    • Red: wisdom

    • Pick-up: I was operating in Word of Faith, name it and claim it. The Lord revealed the truth about our rightful authority which is how that church began.

    • ATV Key: the key to overcoming all obstacles

    • Cold water: Refreshing flow from the Holy Spirit

      • Removing the wrong teaching brought God’s grace and favor into the ministry. That favor was removed and half of the flow of the Holy Spirit when I didn’t get to the root of the issue: my dependence upon others instead of Jesus. The Lord brought wisdom and a new key to understand His rightful authority, helping us to overcome all obstacles.

  • Day 3: 4th of July - We traveled north for the holiday. A mudslide blocked Highway 95 north at a small farm that sells fruits and vegetables owned by a Christian family. This was the only road in our state going back south to our house.

    • North: Moving towards God

    • Mudslide: mud is what our flesh was made out of.

    • 95: God’s mercy, a sabbatical to the Lord. Sabbatical years (land Sabbaths) were commanded by God as a holy period every seventh year designed to bring rest, renewal and rejuvenation to both the people and the land (Exodus 23:10-11, Leviticus 25:1-7, 19-23). The 15th Sabbatical year after the birth of Christ was 95 AD.

      • The first ministry I built, leaning on others instead of the Lord, is the fruit stand. It was broken down and rebuilt according to the instructions from the Lord. I had to remove the “flesh” from it, leaving only God’s truth. I knew that this was only half of the job God had for me to do.

  • Day 4: Road is still blocked, but small personal vehicles can get through by a narrow winding road.

    • Very few people have made the laborious journey into the ministry, as they look for the narrow path of the righteous.

      • It took over a year to build a new Church. To clear out the flesh. The new ministry was forged from the corrections the Lord brought from the old ministry.

  • Day 5: The road was cleared with much work, I returned home and found the water bottle in my pantry!

    • In March of 2025, I launched the Living Word ministry, which is the second half of the calling on my life. The moving of the Holy Spirit has doubled!

All of these signs form a beautiful story, and it illustrates what the ministry I lead has gone through over the last two years. It is the process that any leader of the five-fold ministry will have to undergo. They will need to let go of the old and remove anything that is hindering them. This is what the Ten Virgins had to do: go and buy the oil. It is a process.

If you find your ministry beginning to suffer, you might want to consider that there is something from God’s Word that you have not applied in the right way. Is your ministry not growing? Is the Holy Spirit not flowing so that God’s children are seeing breakthroughs? All of these are signs that you may need to clear a mudslide! There may be some flesh mixed in with God’s ways that has to be cleared out of the way.

This "Special Report" is such an eye-opener and a reminder of how our steps are ordered by the Lord. It's such a blessing to hear Pastor Rebecca encouraging other ministries to check and see if they are obeying and doing their ministry as instructed by the Lord. To be faithful to the Lord, He is our Master. Amen
