Identifying the AntiChrist

VIDEO: The AntiChrist The Beast from the Sea
And I stood on the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads the name of blasphemy (Revelation 13:1 AKJV)

Looking at Daniel’s prophecy concerning the final kingdom on the earth will help us define those “horns” and the Beast rising out of the sea, which represents the spirit realm. Daniel received a terrible vision in the night, a prophetic dream that he could not shake. It had four beasts rising out of the “great sea” or the spirit realm. In retrospect, the first three represent a trio of evil empires on Earth.

  1. The Babylonian empire under Nebuchadnezzar: Resembled a lion with eagle’s wings: Daniel, the prophet, advised Nebuchadnezzar for a time while living in that empire.

  2. The Medo-Persian empire: Like a bear, as it raised itself on one side [or one dominion] while three ribs were in its mouth between its teeth; and was instructed to, “Arise, devour much flesh”.

  3. The Grecian empire of Alexander the Great resembled a leopard with four bird wings on its back. The beast also had four heads, representing Alexander’s four generals, his successors, as it was given dominance.

The last beast rising out of the great sea is the empire of the AntiChrist:

After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. (Daniel 7:7-8 AKJV)

According to Strong’s Concordance, the word “diverse” means change: this kingdom will change all kingdoms and devour or take hold of all the earth, breaking all kingdoms into pieces as it treads them underfoot. That can be seen in the opening interpretation of this kingdom:

Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others, exceeding dreadful, whose teeth were of iron, and his nails of brass; which devoured, broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with his feet; And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spoke very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. (Daniel 7:19-20 AKJV)

Let’s look at the metaphorical meanings of this description:

  • Teeth of iron: We grasp wisdom with our teeth. Iron is unbending.

    • An unbending way to grasp wisdom

  • Nail of brass:

    • God commanded Moses to make a brass snake to represent the judgment of sin. (Numbers 21:4-9)

    • Nails of a beast are what pierce and shred the flesh

      • This kingdom will judge other kingdoms by their “wisdom,” tearing them into shreds

  • Stamping with the feet: The judgments passed by this kingdom will weaken other kingdoms so they are completely crushed

Both of the beasts of Revelation and this one have ten horns, indicating that they are the same beast. The ten horns mentioned in Revelation reside on a single head. A horn represents a person of power. When this kingdom begins, there will be ten horns, but a single horn will rise and conquer three of them. Being “stout” means that it will be stronger than the others. Let’s continue reading in Daniel to discover what the angel reveals about this horn or ruler.

As for the ten horns, out of this kingdom ten kings shall arise, and another shall arise after them; he shall be different from the former ones, and shall put down three kings. He shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and shall think to change the times and the law; and they shall be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. (Daniel 7:24-25 AKJV)

Where have I read about an attack on the saints of the Most High? Oh yes, back in Revelation:

And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast. And they worshipped the dragon which gave power to the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, “Who is like to the beast? who is able to make war with him?” And there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given to him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. (Revelation 13:3-7 AKJV)

Connecting these two descriptions reveals that the AntiChrist will not be one of the original ten rulers. He will be wounded, then rise to power. Daniel reveals that he will depose three of the kings and replace them. He will speak words against God and attack the saints. Forty-two months refers to the first half of Daniel’s week that will begin when the temple is built. He will speak against God’s people for three and a half years.

We must watch for the one who is wounded in the head but recovers to take over three positions that are ruling the world. Unless someone is wounded and their healing of that wound causes the world to follow after them, they are not the AntiChrist!

How do we know that this hasn’t happened yet? Let’s go back to Daniel to confirm the time frame, reading immediately after the first description of the fourth beast:

I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered to him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. (Daniel 7:9-10 AKJV)

This is a picture of God on His throne. Daniel is watching what unfolds until the second judgment mentioned in Revelation 20:

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. (Revelation 20:11-12 ESV)

Daniel was able to see what would happen until the final judgment when the books were opened. What time does this encompass? Let’s keep reading:

I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spoke: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed and given to the burning flame. As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time. I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before Him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed. (Daniel 7:11-14 AKJV)

The other three “beasts” only lived for a “season,” a measure of time. Daniel saw the fourth beast destroyed by fire, and Jesus returning with the clouds to rule and reign on the Earth forever! This has not come to pass since Jesus has not returned and Satan has not been cast into the lake of fire. The connection to the return of Jesus is confirmed by an angel:

I Daniel, was grieved in my spirit in the middle of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. I came near to one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. 19 Then I would know the truth of the fourth beast, which was diverse from all the others… (Daniel 7:15-16, 19 AKJV)

Daniel was so grieved by what he witnessed that he asked one of the angels who appeared with the vision what it meant, inquiring specifically about the fourth beast.

I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints, and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the most High; and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom. (Daniel 7:19, 21-22 AKJV)

The twenty-first scripture is the key to linking this to the kingdom of the AntiChrist in Revelation. A “horn” or ruler would wage war with the saints until the “Ancient of Days” arrives and the saints possess the kingdom. Jesus is God, and one of His names is “The Ancient of Days.” This kingdom will exist when Jesus returns and His people rule the world. This hasn’t happened yet, so this fourth beast has not yet arrived!

What more can we learn from the angel’s interpretation of these events?

and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” (Daniel 7:23-25 AKJV)

This final kingdom will be over all the earth, yet it will be different from all other kingdoms. The AntiChrist rises as a ruler, succeeding three of the rulers. From the prior study, we know the Beast in Revelation had seven heads, representing seven kingdoms: four of which were revealed to Daniel in this vision. The seventh head of which John said “one is, and the other is not yet come and will continue for a little while,” is the AntiChrist who will arise: the fourth beast in Daniel’s vision.

When the Lord returns, he will make an effort, but will be unable to change. God has a plan, and it is impossible for Satan to change it. When the Temple is built and the AntiChrist begins attacking the saints, they will be given into His hands for times (two years), a time (one year), and a dividing time (half a year): three and a half years.

Let’s confirm this with Revelation. We know that the AntiChrist will come into power for 42 months: three and a half years, when the temple is built. Now it seems that everything will be under His control for three and a half additional years, the latter half of Daniel’s Week, which is always referred to as times, time, and a half time, as previously in the messages Daniel’s Week and the fulfillment of the fall feasts.

And it was given to him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell on the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. (Revelation 13:7-8 AKJV)

Following the blasphemy of God, Heaven, and everyone there, ALL kindreds, tongues, and nations are under his control. Anyone whose name isn’t in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be deceived! According to Revelation chapter 3, we know that members of one church risk having their names blotted out of that book, so to get into it, you must be a Christian!

Two events are specified that must not be lumped together:

  • Make war with Christians and overcome them

  • Power over all kindreds, tongues, and nations

These events will begin after the middle of Daniel’s Week. Only after Satan is expelled from Heaven that the AntiChrist take away the sacrifices and offerings in the temple, pursue Israel, and attack Christians after the Jews flee. We know this because of our prior study of Daniel Chapter 9.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured on the desolate. (Daniel 9:27 AKJV)

There will be a seven-year agreement, which will be broken after three and a half years, and sacrifices and offerings will cease. How do we know this is the same person, the AntiChrist? Let’s look at the end of the prophecy that began in Daniel 11:

Then I, Daniel, looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. And I said to the man clothed in linen, which was on the waters of the river, “How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?”

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was on the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him that lives for ever, “it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.” (Daniel 12:5-7 AKJV)

Because Daniel 9 contains a covenant for one week, which is actually seven years, and we see here that there are three and a half years, as well as the prophecy in Revelation, all three of these are connected. Sometime after the middle of Daniel’s week, the AntiChrist will be given power and begin persecuting Christians who refuse to worship him as god, or take the mark of the Beast. He may not become part of the new world power until this time, but he will be working in the background, which is confirmed in another prophecy of Daniel..

The first half of Daniel 11 follows a pattern: a ruler is introduced, his reign is briefly described, then his demise is mentioned. The prophecy begins with the third beast: Alexander the Great and the Grecian empire, then Egypt, and finally Syria. The prophecy goes into great detail about the Syrian leaders and their conflict with Egypt, until it gets to this part:

And in his estate (the king of Syria) shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honor of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflowed from before him, and shall be broken; yes, also the prince of the covenant. And after the league made with him he shall work deceitfully: for he shall come up, and shall become strong with a small people. (Daniel 11:21-23 AKJV)

There is a lot in here that can be difficult to understand. We must look to the original language. Someone will rise to power in Syria through peace and insincere words.

  • And with arms: Zᵊrôaʿ(zer-o'-ah) - Political or military strength. Since it is with “peace,” it must be political.

  • Shall be overflowed: šeṭep̄ (sheh'-tef) - outrageous, overwhelming

  • Also, the prince: nāḡîḏ (naw-geed') - overseer, leader

When you put this together, the prophecy states: he shall come in peaceably and obtain the kingdom through flatteries. With overwhelming, outrageous political strength, they shall be broken by a leader who establishes a covenant. This is who we are looking for. We know that it refers to the leader of the peace treaty as the prophecy later mentions the demise of this leader.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the middle of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease… (Daniel 9:27 AKJV)

There is a ruler who rises to power through a covenant, or a treaty, just like the last world ruler mentioned in Daniel 11 and Revelation. This treaty will allow for sacrifices and offerings and will mark the beginning of Daniel’s Week. If the AntiChrist is supporting the worship of God, then he will not be attacking God, Heaven, and all those in Heaven. This can only happen around the middle of Daniel’s Week once sacrifices and offerings cease.

What will happen next? Some battles will be fought, and much plundering will occur. For the first time, the AntiChrist will be backed by a powerful navy. The second time, the same navy that supported him will attack him.

For the ships of Chittim shall come against him: therefore he shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant. And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that makes desolate. And such as violate the covenant he shall pervert and seduce with flatteries, but the people who know their God shall prove themselves strong and shall stand firm and do exploits [for God]. (Daniel 11:30-32 AMPC)

Both Daniel 11 and Revelation mention sacrifices being taken away, which links them together. Daniel 11 provides additional information about what happens. An “abomination” will be set up. Anyone who is not holding tight to God’s ways may be corrupted and deceived. Those who know God will be seen as mighty!

And they who are wise and understanding among the people shall instruct many and make them understand, though some [of them and their followers] shall fall by the sword and flame, by captivity and plunder, for many days. (Daniel 11:33 AMPC)

After the midpoint in the Tribulation, it will be much harder for those who are helping others to understand God's ways and what is happening. Satan’s power is amplified during the last three-and-a-half years. In the first half of Daniel’s Week, there is still some semblance of the peace treaty. After that, all pretense is gone.

And the king shall do according to his will; he shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished, for that which is determined [by God] shall be done. (Daniel 11:36 AMPC)

The person who enters with a peace treaty, the AntiChrist, will be declared king. This is the rising of the horn that will subdue three horns. Since he is acting in the Temple, this ruler may be the king of Israel. He places himself above all others, even God, who will allow this for a time. “Till the indignation be accomplished,” refers to God’s fury building with the actions of the AntiChrist, until His wrath is poured out. To see how this is accomplished, we must go back to Revelation:

And the ten horns which you saw are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the Beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength to the Beast. (Revelation 17:12-13 AKJV)

The ten horns represent the ten members of mankind who will unite with one mind under the Beast (army of Satan). From Daniel’s description, we know all ten are on one of the heads, which is in power. Two Greek words are used, and we should look for meanings connected to kingship or ruling:

  • Power: exousia (ex-oo-see’-ah) - the power of rule or government (the power of him whose will and commands must be submitted to by others and obeyed)

  • Strength: dynamis (doo’-nam-is) – authority - either as delegated power, or as unrestrained, arbitrary power

They aren’t actual kings, but are given authority to rule by the Beast, which is Satan’s army. There may be ten “heads” of an organization exercising kingly authority. These correspond to the brass nails of the beast mentioned in Daniel chapter 7. The “rulers” are completely submitted to Satan, who will inhabit the AntiChrist, as “one mind.”

The final power of the AntiChrist is shown in the closing lines of the chapter describing the rise of the beast:

And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads… (Revelation 13:16 AKJV)

The ultimate power of this ruler is connected to finances. The “diverse” kingdom could be a change in ownership based on finances. There is a “Global Financial Reset” or “Great Reset” that is determined to place all countries under one set of rules in exchange for erasing past debts. The World Economic Forum (WEF) projection says that private property, and even consumer goods, will no longer be private property by 2030.

The beast is scarlet or wisdom. This could be a financial domination that rules the world through a financial system. This or something like it may very well be the rulership that the AntiChrist sets in place, or may simply be part of the final plan.

When looking for the AntiChrist, don’t look for a single man to rule the world. From studying the beast of Revelation and Daniel, we know that it will be an organization led by ten people who are not kings of a nation, but will be given power to rule by Satan’s army. They rule through “wisdom.” This may be the United Nations or the World Economic Forum that appoints ten people to rule areas of the world.

To identify the AntiChrist we should look for someone to receive a mortal wound in the head as Daniel’s Week begins. There is a strong chance that when the AntiChrist is wounded he will be possessed by Satan. That old dragon is cast out of Heaven around the middle of Daniel’s Week, so he could fully inhabit the AntiChrist, whom he has been backing with the power of his kingdom.

This means:

  • It cannot be Obama because of the scar on his head or Elon Musk:

    • It has to be a new wound once there are ten kings.

  • It cannot be King Charles

    • He is a king already.

  • He must succeed three of the ten leaders appointed by an entity.

Most likely, it will be a new player who is working in the background. When a new type of kingdom arises, dividing the world into ten sections, what should we do? How should we respond to people who attack God, Christians, and those in Heaven?

If any man have an ear, let him hear. He that leads into captivity shall go into captivity: he that kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints. (Revelation 13:9-10 AKJV)

We do not need to attack others, revolt, or riot against our nation because of what is happening. We must have patience, knowing that this is God’s will, that Jesus is returning soon. In the Book of Matthew, Jesus spoke about Daniel’s prophecy. Let’s continue looking at what that prophet said:

Now when they fall, they shall receive a little help. Many shall join themselves to them with flatteries and hypocrisies. And some of those who are wise, prudent, and understanding shall be weakened and fall, [thus, then, the insincere among the people will lose courage and become deserters. It will be a test] to refine, to purify, and to make those among [God’s people] white, even to the time of the end, because it is yet for the time [God] appointed. (Daniel 11:34-35 AMPC)

The Lord sent me a dream about this verse. Here is what He said:

  • My Bride will need to mend her dress, to hold the line and pass the test.

  • Some wise, discerning, prudent, too, may fall by the wayside instead of holding to what’s true.

  • Not all will be ready to let go, grasping the new and letting go of the old.

  • Danger is coming upon the sheep, to rob, steal, and cause some to sleep.

Many have flocked to pastors, prophets, teachers, and apostles who are not teaching the truth of God’s ways. Some are teaching “flatteries and hypocrisies,” only proclaiming our place as the Bride of Christ and declaring the war is won, though in reality it has only truly begun. When those leaders fall, even some who are wise and prudent, will fall with them. This will be part of the “great falling away” that must happen before Jesus returns, which we will discuss later.

We must stand in faith with patience, knowing the time is at hand. If we rebel with force, more lives will be lost. Instead, we need to focus on teaching others God’s ways so that the Bride is ready for the return of their Lord!

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for He is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with Him are called, and chosen, and faithful. (Revelation 17:14 AKJV)

Satan will eventually battle with Jesus, but we know how that battle will end! However, we must be mindful that, before that glorious victory, there is much that will take place with the Beast. We must be patient and steadfast while learning and applying God’s ways. He will provide for us until the final battle takes place.
